Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Informed, voluntary consent of the patient
- Age between 45 and 80 years
- Basic gripping ability of the hand
- Upper limb and hand paresis degree 4-5 on the Brunnstr�F6m scale
- Disability degree of 3 on the Rankin scale
- Spastic tension of upper limb with paresis hand score not more than 3 on the modified Ashworth scale
- Current health condition allows participation in tests and exercises as confirmed by medical examination
You will not qualify if you...
- Lack of informed, voluntary consent of the patient
- Second or subsequent stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, or stroke of brainstem and cerebellum
- Disorders of higher mental functions limiting comprehension and task performance during exercises
- Visual field disturbances
- Mechanical or thermal injuries limiting hand grasping function
- Concomitant neurological, rheumatological, or orthopedic diseases including permanent contractures affecting grasping ability or locomotion
- Unstable medical condition
- Failure to complete the 3-week rehabilitation stay
