Rehablines: Using Routine Clinical Data for Research in Rehabilitation of Physical Disabilities and Chronic Diseases

What this Trial Is About

Rehablines is a research effort focused on people with physical disabilities and chronic diseases receiving multidisciplinary rehabilitation treatment at the Center of Rehabilitation. The study uses routinely collected clinical data to better understand patient characteristics, disease processes, and treatment effects. The goal is to improve the quality and efficiency of rehabilitation care by analyzing this large database for scientific research and personalized treatment insights. This research does not involve new interventions or treatments but collects and reuses clinical data gathered during regular rehabilitation care. There are no specific drugs or devices being tested. Instead, the project organizes and analyzes existing clinical information from patients undergoing rehabilitation at the University Medical Center Groningen. Participants are involved as their routine clinical data are recorded before treatment, throughout an average 12-week treatment period, and up to one year after treatment completion. Researchers monitor treatment effects and patient outcomes over time using this data. There are no additional procedures or interventions beyond standard care, and the study aims to enhance understanding of rehabilitation outcomes through long-term follow-up and data analysis.
