What this Trial Is About
In this study, a case-control study was intended to establish a model for the combined diagnosis of colorectal polyps by detecting the expressions of oral and intestinal flora, ASC, Caspase-1, IL-1β and IL-18 in patients with colorectal polyps and healthy controls, as well as peripheral venous blood and intestinal tissue. To analyze the correlation between oral and intestinal specific flora and host inflammatory status, and explore the correlation between oral and intestinal flora, NLRP3 inflammatory complex, and colorectal polyps (pin-pin-two correlation), with a view to providing new biomarkers for the diagnosis and prognosis assessment of colorectal polyps from the perspective of oral and intestinal microorganisms and host immune inflammatory response. It also provides a new targeted treatment strategy for clinical prevention and treatment, and actively prevents the occurrence and development of colorectal polyp canceration.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients diagnosed with colorectal polyps by enteroscopy, including those with tubular adenoma, tubular villous adenoma, or villous adenoma
- Age- and sex-matched healthy family members without enteric diseases confirmed by colonoscopy
You will not qualify if you...
- Refusal to participate or inability to cooperate due to cognitive impairment
- Diagnosis of familial adenomatous polyposis, hereditary non-polyposis colorectal cancer, or other digestive or anorectal diseases
- Active infectious diseases such as respiratory, digestive, urinary, or reproductive tract infections
- Serious systemic diseases or organ dysfunction including cirrhosis and kidney failure
- Immune diseases like connective tissue diseases or rheumatoid arthritis
- Blood system diseases or recent use of lipid-regulating drugs
- History of malignant tumors treated by radiotherapy or chemotherapy
- Body mass index less than 18.5 kg/m2 or greater than 32 kg/m2, or severe malnutrition
- Chronic metabolic diseases including type 1 or type 2 diabetes and gout
- Previous gastrointestinal or intestinal surgery related to polyps or tumors
- Pregnancy or lactation
- Edentulous jaws or recent periodontal treatment within past 6 months
- Presence of fixed dental appliances
- Use of probiotics, microbiotics, antibiotics, metformin, proton pump inhibitors, berberine, or cathartic agents within the past month
