Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Donor must be brain-dead with plans to harvest at least one kidney
  • Organ recipients must be over 18 years old
  • Organ recipients must have surgery performed at Helsinki University Hospital
  • Organ recipients must provide written informed consent to participate
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Donor is hemodynamically unstable
  • Donor is younger than 18 years old
  • Planned organ recipients are enrolled in another prospective trial preventing participation
