Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 18 and 75 years
- Clinic blood pressure of 140/90 mmHg or higher, or 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure average of 135/85 mmHg or higher, despite taking three or more antihypertensive drugs for more than 4 weeks
- Diagnosis of essential hypertension, renal parenchymal hypertension, or hypertension and willingness to receive renal nerve denervation
- Signed informed consent and approval by the Ethics Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University
You will not qualify if you...
- Pregnant or lactating women
- Identified secondary hypertension or pseudo hypertension
- Renal arteries unsuitable for ablation
- Obvious bleeding tendency or blood system diseases
- Malignant tumors or end-stage diseases
- Severe peripheral vascular disease or abdominal aortic aneurysm
- History of acute coronary syndrome within two weeks
- Acute or severe systemic infection
- Drug or alcohol dependence
- Refusal to sign informed consent
