Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- At least 19 years old
- Diagnosed with stage C heart failure and left ventricular ejection fraction below 40%
- Significant coronary artery narrowing (diameter stenosis over 50%) with confirmed inducible myocardial ischemia
- Coronary artery disease suitable for percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
- Able to understand study risks, benefits, and alternatives and provide written informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Myocardial infarction within 4 weeks before randomization
- Non-viable heart muscle shown by viability tests
- Target lesions not suitable for PCI as decided by the operator
- Need for left ventricular assist device or heart transplant at randomization
- Intolerance to aspirin, clopidogrel, prasugrel, ticagrelor, heparin, or everolimus
- Known anaphylaxis to contrast agents
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Non-cardiac conditions limiting life expectancy to less than 2 years or causing protocol non-compliance
- Unwillingness or inability to follow study procedures
