Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients undergoing thoracotomy for lung cancer
  • Age 18 years or older and 65 years or younger
  • ASA physical status II or III
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than 20 kg/m² and less than 35 kg/m²
  • Willing and able to provide informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Patient refusal
  • ASA physical status IV
  • Age younger than 18 years or older than 65 years
  • Body Mass Index (BMI) less than 20 kg/m² or greater than 35 kg/m²
  • Known allergy or contraindication to local anesthetics or opioids used in the study
  • History of chronic pain or psychological disorders
  • Contraindications to regional anesthesia such as local infection, coagulopathy, or pre-existing peripheral neuropathy
  • Severe respiratory, cardiac, hepatic, or renal disease
