- American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I, II, or III
- Elective surgery
- Age between 18 and 80 years

- Allergy to local anesthetics
- Disagree to participate
- American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status IV or V
- Emergency surgery
- Bleeding disorders
- Thoracic vertebrae deformity
- Thoracic vertebrae surgery
