Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- 18 years old or older
- Diagnosed with idiopathic, heritable, connective tissue disease-associated, or drug/toxin-associated pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) based on WHO recommendations
- Stable PAH-specific medication regimen for at least three months prior to enrollment (adjustments in IV prostacyclin and diuretics allowed)
- WHO Functional Class I to III
- Ambulatory
- Able to undergo MRI/MRS and perform a 6-minute walk test and cardiopulmonary exercise test
You will not qualify if you...
- Pregnant
- Diagnosed with PAH due to causes other than idiopathic, heritable, connective tissue disease-associated, or drug/toxin-associated PAH
- WHO Functional Class IV heart failure
- Requires continuous oxygen
- Unable to undergo MRI/MRS or perform a 6-minute walk test or cardiopulmonary exercise test
- Has implanted or embedded ferromagnetic material that prevents cardiac MRI
