Age: 18Years +
All Genders

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • 18 years old or older
  • Diagnosed with idiopathic, heritable, connective tissue disease-associated, or drug/toxin-associated pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) based on WHO recommendations
  • Stable PAH-specific medication regimen for at least three months prior to enrollment (adjustments in IV prostacyclin and diuretics allowed)
  • WHO Functional Class I to III
  • Ambulatory
  • Able to undergo MRI/MRS and perform a 6-minute walk test and cardiopulmonary exercise test
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Pregnant
  • Diagnosed with PAH due to causes other than idiopathic, heritable, connective tissue disease-associated, or drug/toxin-associated PAH
  • WHO Functional Class IV heart failure
  • Requires continuous oxygen
  • Unable to undergo MRI/MRS or perform a 6-minute walk test or cardiopulmonary exercise test
  • Has implanted or embedded ferromagnetic material that prevents cardiac MRI
