Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male patients aged 25-60 years newly diagnosed with active pulmonary tuberculosis
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients with positive sputum smear or tuberculosis culture results
- Patients positive for human immunodeficiency virus
- Patients infected with multidrug-resistant tuberculosis
- Patients with malignant tumors such as lung cancer or severe heart and brain blood vessel diseases
- Patients unable to complete lung function tests due to non-compliance
- Patients without lung tissue damage like tuberculous pleurisy
