Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Confirmed HIV infection
- Progression to AIDS stage with CD4+ count <200 cells/µL and/or opportunistic infections related to AIDS
- Age between 18 and 65 years
- Diagnosis of severe pneumonia meeting 2021 ATS and IDSA community-acquired pneumonia guidelines
You will not qualify if you...
- Central nervous system lesions, severe liver disease, or cirrhosis
- AIDS-related or non-related tumors
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding in women
- Serious underlying diseases such as heart, lung, liver, or kidney conditions
- Alcohol abuse or drug use
- Conditions affecting ability to complete the trial as judged by the researcher
