What this Trial Is About

This clinical trial studies patients with gingival recession classified as Cairo RT1 equivalent to Miller Class I or II who also have non-carious cervical lesions or existing cervical restorations. The research aims to evaluate how different restorative materials used in Class V cervical lesions affect the results of root coverage surgery performed with a subepithelial connective tissue graft. The goal is to identify which restorative approach leads to better clinical outcomes in terms of root coverage and soft tissue stability. Participants are randomly assigned to one of three groups no restoration, restoration with glass ionomer cement, or restoration with resin composite before undergoing root coverage surgery. All patients receive standardized periodontal treatment before surgery. The study compares these restorative approaches to see their influence on the success of the root coverage procedure. During the study, participants will have clinical evaluations including measurements of root coverage percentage and soft tissue healing at baseline and follow-up visits up to six months post-surgery. Researchers will also assess gingival recession depth, clinical attachment level, keratinized tissue width, probing depth, dentin hypersensitivity, and esthetic results. The study monitors the stability of treated sites and participant compliance throughout the trial period.
