The goal of this observational study is to learn about the safety and efficacy of two-step radical prostatectomy in the treatment of low- to intermediate-risk prostate cancer patient with enlarged prostate and severe benign prostatic hyperplasia. Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosed with prostate cancer by biopsy
- Prostate cancer evaluated as localized by imaging studies
- Prostate volume greater than 70 mL by ultrasound or MRI
- Gleason score of 7 or less (4+3=7 maximum)
- Preoperative PSA less than 20 ng/mL
- Estimated survival greater than 10 years
- Provided informed consent to participate
You will not qualify if you...
- Prior treatments such as radical radiotherapy, transurethral resection, cryoablation, or high-intensity focused ultrasound
- Any contraindications to surgery or anesthesia
