Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients who attend follow-up sessions and sign informed consent
- Patients with bilateral mandibular asymptomatic vertical third molars with Class I, level C impaction
- Patients without significant medical diseases or drug use
- Patients who are not pregnant
- Patients who do not have allergies
- Patients who do not smoke
You will not qualify if you...
- Patients with complicating systemic diseases (American Society of Anesthesiologists class 3 to 6)
- Patients with second molars having severe periodontal defects or deep pockets (probing depth >4 mm)
- Patients with poor oral hygiene
- Patients who used analgesics within 12 hours before surgery or antibiotics within 1 month prior
- Patients with cysts or tumors around the impacted third molar
