Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male or female aged 40 years or older
- Able to provide informed consent
- Have two or more of the following risk factors for heart failure:
- Coronary artery disease (previous heart attack, bypass surgery, angioplasty, or significant artery narrowing)
- Diagnosed diabetes (type 1 or type 2)
- Persistent or permanent atrial fibrillation
- Previous ischemic or embolic stroke
- Peripheral arterial disease with prior revascularization or significant artery narrowing
- Chronic kidney disease with reduced kidney function or high urine albumin
- Regular use of loop diuretics for more than 30 days
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease diagnosed by tests, specialist, CT scan, or treatment
You will not qualify if you...
- Unable to give informed consent due to significant cognitive impairment
- Previously diagnosed with heart failure
- Currently receiving renal replacement therapy
- Considered unsuitable for the study by investigators due to other medical conditions affecting survival
