Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- For COPD: Postbronchodilator FEV1/FVC less than 0.7 and chronic respiratory symptoms
- For Asthma: Never smoker or less than 5 pack-years smoking history and recurrent episodes of asthma symptoms (wheezing, dyspnea, chest tightness, cough) and either positive bronchodilator response or positive provocation test (methacholine, mannitol, or exercise)
- For Asthma-COPD Overlap Syndrome (ACOS): Diagnosis of both COPD and asthma regardless of smoking status
You will not qualify if you...
History of severe allergic reactions to study medication Currently pregnant or breastfeeding Recent participation in another clinical trial within the last 30 days Presence of uncontrolled medical conditions that could affect safety
