What this Trial Is About
The investigators hypothesize that serum neurofilament-light chain (NfL) levels can provide information about the level of activity and progression of Multiple Sclerosis at different stages and landmarks of the disease. In addition, Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein (GFAP) has also been identified as another serum biomarker of disability in MS.

Serum Neurofilament-light Chain and GFAP Levels in Patients From the OFSEP Cohort at Different Landmarks of Multiple Sclerosis
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- The patient has been correctly informed about the study.
- The patient has given informed and signed consent.
- The patient is insured or covered by a health insurance plan.
- The patient is at least 15 years old.
- The patient has Multiple Sclerosis diagnosed according to Thompson et al. 2017 criteria.
- The patient participates in the OFSEP-HD cohort ancillary study.
- The patient has an Expanded Disability Status Scale score between 0 and 7.0.
- The patient may be with or without Disease Modifying Drug treatment.
- For Work Package 3: The patient is enrolled in any OFSEP-HD center and meets criteria for active MS (relapse, EDSS progression, or active MRI) during follow-up.
- For Work Package 4: The patient has stable disease and is enrolled in the OFSEP-HD study at Nîmes or Nantes University Hospitals.
You will not qualify if you...
- Participated in another interventional study in the past 3 months that could interfere with this study.
- Currently in an exclusion period from a previous study.
- Is under judicial protection.
- Refuses to sign the consent form.
- Unable to be properly informed due to language or comprehension issues.
- Pregnant or breastfeeding.
- Under 15 years old.
- Unable to answer questionnaires.
- Has Clinically Isolated Syndrome (CIS) not meeting MS criteria.
- Has Radiologically Isolated Syndrome (RIS).
- Has Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder.
