Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Participants must be first-degree relatives (parents, children, or siblings) of patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease according to the 2011 National Institute on Aging - Alzheimer's Association criteria
- Participants must not have dementia
- Participants must be 50 years of age or older, male or female
- Participants must have lived in Shanghai for more than one year and have no plans to move away within five years
- Participants must be able to complete investigations, physical examinations, imaging exams, and biological specimen collections
You will not qualify if you...
- Individuals with diseases that can cause cognitive decline such as cerebrovascular diseases, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, or Parkinson's disease
- Individuals with a history of psychological disorders according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition
- Individuals with uncorrectable vision or hearing impairments that prevent completion of examinations
- Pre-menopausal women
