Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adult patients aged 50 years or older with Kennedy class 1 removable partial denture and missing mandibular molars
- Patients experiencing instability of their prosthesis
- No medical contraindications to implant therapy
- Sufficient bone height and width on one side to receive a 6 mm short implant placed 2 mm below bone level
- Sufficient bone height and width on the opposite side to receive a standard-length implant (7.5, 9, or 10.5 mm) placed at crestal bone level
- Bone measurements confirmed by CBCT imaging
You will not qualify if you...
- Active infection or inflammation in areas planned for implant placement
- Systemic diseases such as diabetes
- Pregnant or lactating patients
- Severe bruxism or clenching habit
- Therapeutic radiation to the head within the past 12 months
- Treatment with bisphosphonates within the past 12 months
- Smoking more than 10 cigarettes per day
