Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Elderly patients aged 65 years and above
- Undergoing major non-cardiac surgery lasting at least 2 hours with at least 1 day postoperative hospital stay
- Able to speak English, Chinese, or Malay
- Able to provide informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- History of psychiatric disease
- Illiterate
- Active history of substance abuse
- Undergoing neurological procedures
- Undergoing emergency surgeries
- Planned second surgery within 5 days of the initial surgery
- Non-resident of Singapore
- Severe hearing or speech impairment
