Researchers are evaluating two surgical approaches for treating papillary thyroid carcinoma PTC, a type of thyroid cancer. This study aims to compare the safety and feasibility of a single-incision, gasless endoscopic total thyroidectomy with central compartment neck dissection via the subclavian approach SCA against the conventional open surgery method. The focus is on patients with well-differentiated PTC and tumors smaller than 3.0 cm. Participants choose between two surgical options the single-incision gasless endoscopic procedure via the subclavian approach or the traditional open surgery. Both methods involve total thyroidectomy and central compartment neck dissection. The study observes outcomes retrospectively, based on patients preferences for their surgical approach. During the study, researchers monitor participants for disease-free survival up to 24 months after surgery. They assess recovery, complications, and overall safety of each surgical method.
