Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Primary macular hole 250 micrometers or smaller
- Macular hole duration 12 months or less
- No previous vitreoretinal surgery in the study eye
- Ability to sign informed consent
- Signed informed consent form
- Age 18 years or older
You will not qualify if you...
- Previous vitreoretinal surgery in the study eye
- Secondary macular hole caused by conditions other than vitreomacular traction
- Excessive myopia (more than -6 diopters)
- Traumatic macular hole
- Macular hole secondary to retinal detachment or other retinal diseases
- Previous participation in this study
