Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Male or female 18 years of age or older
- Normal skin sensation at both nasal ala as assessed by pinprick
- Ability to provide informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Previous adverse reaction to local anesthetic or any components of the local anesthetics being evaluated
- Pregnant or breastfeeding volunteers (self-reported)
- Patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) or antidepressants of the triptyline or imipramine types
