Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Male or female 18 years of age or older
  • Normal skin sensation at both nasal ala as assessed by pinprick
  • Ability to provide informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Previous adverse reaction to local anesthetic or any components of the local anesthetics being evaluated
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding volunteers (self-reported)
  • Patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) or antidepressants of the triptyline or imipramine types
