Age: 60Years +
All Genders

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Signed informed consent
  • Age 60 years or older
  • Completely without teeth and wearing complete upper and lower dentures that fit well or can be adjusted to fit
  • Healed lower jaw with at least 6-8 weeks since last front tooth extraction and one year since last back tooth extraction
  • Physical health status classified as ASA1 or ASA2
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Allergies or sensitivity to the medical devices used
  • Vulnerable individuals
  • Investigators, their family members, employees, or dependents
  • Known or suspected non-compliance or drug/alcohol abuse
  • Unable to maintain proper oral hygiene
  • Unable to follow study procedures due to language, psychological disorders, dementia (clock-drawing test score 5 or less), Parkinson's disease, or similar
  • Surgical risks such as uncontrolled diabetes, immunosuppression, radiation, chemotherapy, or use of certain bone medications
  • Heavy smoking (more than 20 cigarettes per day)
  • Severe teeth grinding or clenching, or facial pain
  • Depression indicated by Geriatric Depression Scale greater than 9
  • Dry mouth with saliva flow less than or equal to 0.7 ml/min
  • Jaw ridge too narrow or short in the canine or midline area (less than 6 mm width or 10 mm height)
  • Jaw defects requiring bone grafting procedures
