Rheumatoid arthritis is a disabling arthritis that affects young women disproportionately. Although the physicians have some excellent treatments, they do not know which treatment is best for which patient. The investigators want to find ways to identify the right drug for the right patient at the right time. This is what personalized medicine is all about.

Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age 18 years or older
- Arthritis that meets the 2010 ACR/EULAR classification criteria for rheumatoid arthritis
- Failure to standard synthetic DMARDs and eligibility for second-line biologic or targeted synthetic DMARDs (Sub-study 1) or failure to at least one TNF inhibitor and eligibility for third-line biologic or targeted synthetic DMARDs (Sub-study 2)
You will not qualify if you...
- Prior biologic or targeted synthetic DMARDs use for Sub-study 1 or prior biologic or targeted synthetic DMARDs other than TNF inhibitors for Sub-study 2
- Contraindications to biologic or targeted synthetic DMARD therapy such as active infection, untreated latent tuberculosis, current cancer, severe organ dysfunction, history of venous thromboembolism (unless anticoagulated), high cardiovascular risk, pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Presence of another inflammatory disease requiring specific immunosuppressive therapy such as lupus nephritis
- Inability to provide consent or complete study forms in English or French
