Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Proficiency in German or English
- Able to give informed consent
- Low back pain lasting more than 3 months
- Low back pain not caused by serious conditions such as infection, fractures, or inflammation
- Experience fluctuating pain with periods of pain and no pain
You will not qualify if you...
- Unable to give informed consent or follow study instructions (e.g., language barriers)
- Major medical or psychiatric conditions such as severe heart disease, diabetes, autoimmune disorders, rheumatic disorders, or major depression
- Symptomatic radiculopathy with motor or sensory deficits or nerve root involvement seen on lumbar MRI
- Previous back surgery
- Body mass index over 30
- Pregnancy
