Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest
- Age 18 years or older
- At least one manual defibrillation attempt by emergency medical services
- Shockable rhythm as the last known rhythm
- Two manual defibrillators present on-site
You will not qualify if you...
- Suspected blunt trauma, penetrating trauma, or burn injury causing the cardiac arrest
- Prior enrollment in the trial
- Posterior pad placement not possible as determined by on-site clinician
