Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Female participants
- Age between 18 and 40 years
- Presence of active trigger points in rhomboid major and minor muscles
- At least one trigger point diagnosed by hyperirritable spot, twitch response, and referral pain
- Presence of Jump sign
- Segmental hypomobility in upper thoracic region with positive springing test
- Upper thoracic pain in T1 to T4 area with pain score 63 on numeric pain rating scale
- Symptoms provoked by thoracic movement or rhomboid muscle palpation
You will not qualify if you...
- History of neck trauma
- Previous surgery in neck or shoulder area or physical injury
- Fractures, dislocations, traumatic injuries, adhesive capsulitis, thoracic outlet syndrome
- Rheumatic conditions, osteoporosis, cancer, spinal infection, radicular pain, or neuropathy
