Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients with a minor stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) who do not require rehabilitation after hospital discharge but need physical activity to prevent cardiovascular diseases
- Patients spending 5 hours or less per week on high-intensity physical activity during leisure time over the past 3 months
- Ability to speak and read Danish and provide informed consent
- Individuals aged 18 years or older
You will not qualify if you...
- History of previous large-artery stroke or hemorrhagic stroke
- Unstable cardiac condition such as having a pacemaker
- Uncontrolled hypertension not responding adequately to treatment according to guidelines
- Symptoms or medical conditions preventing exercise on a stationary bicycle, such as claudication
- Breathing difficulties caused by heart or lung disease such as COPD
- Aphasia or dementia interfering with understanding the study protocol or physical tests
- Diagnosed dementia at hospital admission (Mini-Mental State Examination score 23 or lower)
