Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Healthy adults aged 18 to 65 years
- At least a high school education
- Able to read and write in English to understand instructions
You will not qualify if you...
- History or evidence of major medical, neurological, or psychiatric illness
- Serious head injury
- Learning disability
- Drug or alcohol abuse or dependence within the past 3 months, except nicotine
- Taking prescription drugs or supplements that may affect brain function
- Serious vision or hearing problems
- Pregnant or positive pregnancy test within 24 hours before MRI experiments
- Occupational exposure to metal slivers or shavings in the head or neck area
- Presence of surgical clips, shrapnel, cochlear implants, metallic objects in or near the brain or eyes, or implant wires/devices that may interfere with MRI
- Unable to lie flat on the back for up to 3 hours during MRI scans
