Evaluating Beacon Platform Device for Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate in Men with Enlarged Prostates

This research aims to evaluate the Beacon Platform, a new technology designed to improve urological surgery for men with enlarged prostates. The study focuses on men aged 45 and older who have lower urinary tract symptoms or urinary retention caused by benign prostatic enlargement leading to bladder outlet obstruction. It seeks to establish the safety and effectiveness of the Beacon Platform during and after the HoLEP procedure. Participants will undergo the Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate HoLEP procedure using the Beacon Platform device. This single-arm study involves performing the procedure with this platform to assess its performance. The study will track outcomes such as the success of the enucleation phase, visualization of anatomical landmarks, and procedure-related adverse events over approximately 30 days. During the study, participants will be monitored for procedure success and any complications. Researchers will evaluate intraoperative details like enucleation time and postoperative factors including hospital stay length, catheterization duration, and any repeat hospitalizations within 30 days. Safety and performance data will be collected through follow-up assessments, helping to understand how well the Beacon Platform works in this patient population.
