Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients must have pathologically confirmed systemic cancer of any type and stage at time of CMR
  • Cardiac mass (CMASS) must be identified on imaging with characteristics defined by established criteria
  • Adequate kidney function with creatinine clearance of at least 30 mL/min
  • No history of allergic reaction to gadolinium contrast agents or similar compounds
  • Adults aged over 18 years with an indwelling central venous catheter for at least 7 days prior to CMR
  • Presence of right atrial thrombus confirmed by CMR criteria
  • Patients who underwent CMR within past 3 months for cardiac mass evaluation confirming right atrial thrombus are eligible
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Known pre-existing cardiovascular diseases affecting heart function, including chronic atrial arrhythmias and cardiomyopathies with ejection fraction below 53%
  • Restrictive cardiomyopathy such as cardiac amyloidosis or myocardial fibrosis
  • Constrictive pericarditis
  • Moderate or greater valvular heart disease
  • Cardiac neoplastic involvement
  • Unable to provide informed consent due to clinical or mental status
  • Standard contraindications to MRI, including incompatible metal implants or devices
  • Contraindications to gadolinium contrast such as allergy or kidney dysfunction with GFR below 30 mL/min
  • Inability to tolerate CMR due to clinical condition, respiratory compromise, or severe claustrophobia
