Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Participants must be generally healthy based on medical history and physical examination.
- Age between 2 and 17 years.
You will not qualify if you...
- Known or suspected immune system problems or immunodeficiency.
- History of congenital or acquired immunodeficiency.
- Documented HIV infection or breastfeeding from a mother with HIV.
- History of hepatitis B or C infection.
- Bleeding disorders that prevent subcutaneous vaccination or repeated blood draws.
- Serious or progressive diseases such as cancer, uncontrolled diabetes, severe heart, kidney, or liver failure, or autoimmune or neurological disorders.
- Known neurological or cognitive behavioral disorders including encephalitis, myelitis, or pervasive developmental disorders.
- Previous dengue vaccination or plans to receive a dengue vaccine during the study (other than study vaccine).
- Use of systemic corticosteroids within 30 days before vaccination or expected use within 28 days after.
- Blood transfusion or blood products including immunoglobulins within 6 months before vaccination or planned use within 28 days after.
- Use of immunosuppressive therapies such as chemotherapy or organ transplant treatments within 6 months before vaccination or planned use within 28 days after.
