All Genders

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Signed informed consent and assent as applicable
  • Males or females with type 1 plasminogen deficiency diagnosed locally with plasminogen activity levels below 50%
  • First-degree family members of a person diagnosed with type 1 plasminogen deficiency (parents, siblings, half-siblings)
  • All ages included
  • Available clinical history and treatment for at least 1 year before joining, except for infants under 1 year old
  • Willingness to provide samples for analysis including DNA and plasma
  • Willingness to participate in prospective follow-up for up to 3 years
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Previous organ transplant recipient
  • Presence of psychiatric, mental, or other medical disorders that impair ability to give informed consent or comply with the study
  • Refusal to provide informed consent
  • Special patient populations such as prisoners or those deemed medically or cognitively unsuitable by their physician
  • Inability to obtain a blood sample due to poor or limited venous access
