Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Have type 2 diabetes
- HbA1c between 7.5% and 10.5% at screening
- Body mass index (BMI) of 27 kilograms per square meter (kg/m2) or higher at screening
- Stable body weight for the 3 months before screening
- Stable dose of injectable semaglutide (1 or 2 mg) or tirzepatide (5, 7.5, 10, 12.5, or 15 mg) for at least 3 months before screening
You will not qualify if you...
- Have type 1 diabetes, latent autoimmune diabetes, or history of ketoacidosis or hyperosmolar coma
- Prior or planned surgery for obesity
- Cardiovascular events within 3 months before screening, including acute myocardial infarction, stroke, unstable angina, or hospitalization for heart failure
- Used insulin to control blood glucose in the past year (short-term use allowed)
- Current use of prohibited oral antihyperglycemic medications, unless stopped at least 3 months before screening
- Taken medications or alternative remedies for weight loss within 3 months before screening
