Study Using Hyperpolarized 13C-Pyruvate Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging in Patients With Pancreatic Cysts Undergoing Surgical Resection
Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Patients 18 years old or older
- Patients with pancreatic cyst(s)
- Patients scheduled for surgical removal or cyst wall biopsy of pancreatic cysts
- Patients able to understand and willing to sign informed consent
- Both English-speaking and non-English-speaking patients are eligible
You will not qualify if you...
- Contraindications to MRI
- Electrically, magnetically, or mechanically activated implants that prevent MRI
- Allergy to Gadavist IV contrast
- History of cardiac arrhythmias
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Sexually active women of child-bearing age not using birth control
- Cognitively impaired individuals
- Weight above 260 pounds (lbs)
