Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Scored 9 or less out of 12 on the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB)
- Able to walk 400 meters in 15 minutes or less without sitting or physical assistance (using a cane is allowed)
- Scored 22 or higher out of 30 on the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE)
- No significant functional impairment with a score of 6 or higher out of 8 on the Lawton and Brody Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale
- Able to safely engage in moderate to vigorous physical activity as confirmed by the PAR-Q+ and family or study physician if needed
- Living in the community
- Able to provide written informed consent
You will not qualify if you...
- Diagnosed with dementia or stroke
- Self-report doing 10 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous physical activity per week in the last 3 months
- Unable to understand, speak, or read English proficiently
