Age: 70Years - 89Years

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Scored 9 or less out of 12 on the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB)
  • Able to walk 400 meters in 15 minutes or less without sitting or physical assistance (using a cane is allowed)
  • Scored 22 or higher out of 30 on the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE)
  • No significant functional impairment with a score of 6 or higher out of 8 on the Lawton and Brody Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale
  • Able to safely engage in moderate to vigorous physical activity as confirmed by the PAR-Q+ and family or study physician if needed
  • Living in the community
  • Able to provide written informed consent
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Diagnosed with dementia or stroke
  • Self-report doing 10 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous physical activity per week in the last 3 months
  • Unable to understand, speak, or read English proficiently
