Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Infants born before 32 completed weeks of gestation
- On continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP)
- Clinical and radiological signs of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS)
- Need for surfactant treatment
You will not qualify if you...
- Infants requiring surfactant as part of delivery room resuscitation
- Congenital abnormalities or conditions affecting breathing or ventilation, including congenital diaphragmatic hernia
- Tracheo-oesophageal fistula
- Cyanotic heart disease
