Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Infants born before 32 completed weeks of gestation
  • On continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP)
  • Clinical and radiological signs of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS)
  • Need for surfactant treatment
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Infants requiring surfactant as part of delivery room resuscitation
  • Congenital abnormalities or conditions affecting breathing or ventilation, including congenital diaphragmatic hernia
  • Tracheo-oesophageal fistula
  • Cyanotic heart disease
