Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of essential tremor by a movement disorder specialist
- Substantial incapacity due to essential tremor
- Duration of symptoms greater than 5 years
- Age between 18 and 75 years
- Unsatisfactory effect from beta-blockers or inability to tolerate this treatment
You will not qualify if you...
- Cognitive impairment
- Co-morbidity or non-compliance likely to affect results or evaluation
- Standard surgical exclusion criteria
