Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- 18 years and older
- Fluent in English
- Normal or corrected-to-normal vision
- Willing to be photographed
You will not qualify if you...
- History of head injury causing loss of consciousness
- Uncorrected vision or physical disability affecting computer task performance
- History of epilepsy, convulsions, or seizures (except childhood febrile seizures)
- History of fainting or syncope
- Pregnancy or possible pregnancy in female participants
- Skin problems on scalp such as eczema, dermatitis, or open wounds
- Prior brain surgery
- Presence of metal in head/neck (except dental fillings)
- Implants or devices near the head, including cochlear implants, aneurysm clips, pacemakers, or electronic implants
- Current alcohol or substance use disorder or recent withdrawal symptoms
- Alcohol consumption on day of session or more than 2 drinks in prior 24 hours
- Use of non-prescribed or illicit drugs in prior 24 hours
- Feeling sick, feverish, sleep-deprived, dizzy, unwell, or intoxicated
- Taking anticonvulsant/anti-epileptic drugs currently or in lifetime
- Taking benzodiazepines currently or within past 3 months
- Recent changes in psychiatric/psychotropic medications within past 3 months
- Taking Bupropion, tricyclic antidepressants, antipsychotics, or Tramadol currently or within past 3 months
- Recent cardiac problems or medications related to cardiac conditions within past 3 months
- Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, or Psychotic Disorders
