Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Adult primary care patients 18 years old or older on the day of their primary care appointment
- At least 4 symptoms on the Alcohol Symptom Checklist, or 2 to 3 symptoms with at least one associated with high risk of progression to severe symptoms, documented in the electronic health record linked to the primary care visit
- High-risk drinking documented with an AUDIT-C score of 7 or more on the day of the Alcohol Symptom Checklist or within the prior 30 days
You will not qualify if you...
- Documented request by the patient to not participate in research
- Patients who were eligible for the Vanguard pilot study
