Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age older than 16 years
- Diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) based on American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) criteria
- For lupus nephritis (LN) patients, diagnosis confirmed by kidney biopsy and pathohistological verification (WHO and ISN/RPS classifications)
You will not qualify if you...
- Presence of other autoimmune rheumatological diseases
- Lymphoproliferative disorders
- Malignancies
- Liver diseases
- End-stage kidney disease
- Diabetic nephropathy
- Active infections
- Recent history of blood transfusion
- Deficiencies in vitamin B12, folate, or iron
