Age: 0 - 39Years

Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Patients must be younger than 39 years at time of enrollment
  • Karnofsky or Lansky performance score of 70 or greater or ECOG performance status of 0-1
  • Newly diagnosed histologically or molecularly confirmed soft tissue or bone sarcoma at any site
  • Measurable metastatic disease with at least one lesion larger than 3 mm on CT scan within 3 weeks before treatment start
  • Radiographic, histologic, or molecular confirmation of progressive soft tissue or bone sarcoma initially diagnosed before age 39 (for second line therapy group)
  • Radiation to at least one site recommended as part of second line therapy (for second line therapy group)
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Brain or intracranial metastases, including leptomeningeal disease
  • Clinical or radiologic evidence of spinal cord compression requiring emergency radiation treatment
  • Positive bone marrow biopsy for non-pelvic primary with more than eight bone metastases
  • Presence of non-measurable metastatic disease such as malignant ascites or malignant pleural or pericardial effusions
  • Pregnancy
