Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Aged 55 to 75 years old
  • Diagnosed with stroke confirmed by MRI or CT scan more than 6 months ago
  • Have voluntary control of the non-paretic arm and at least minimal antigravity movement in the paretic shoulder
  • Have at least 5 degrees of wrist extension in the antigravity position
  • Able to communicate
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Have neurological diseases other than stroke, such as Parkinson's disease or dementia
  • Have ongoing health conditions like angina pectoris, pain, or arthritis
  • Have contraindications for transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation, including metal implants in the brain or a history of seizures
