Researchers are studying new health-related risk factors, including those related to clinical and pharmacological aspects, in the general population. The study focuses on how social, demographic, behavioral, and environmental factors relate to medication use, self-medication, dietary supplement intake, polypharmacy, and harmful drug interactions. The study aims to better understand these factors, especially in the context of cardiovascular health and challenges highlighted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants take part by completing an online survey accessed through specially designed websites. Invitations to join the survey are sent by SMS messages using a specific tool. Alongside the survey, a subgroup of participants may undergo genetic testing to study gene variants affecting drug metabolism, including genes like CYP2D6, ACE, UGT1A1, CYP2C9, and CYP2C19. The study is observational and non-interventional. Participants provide electronic consent and complete the survey online, with no physical exams or treatments involved, ensuring safety and privacy through data depersonalization. The study collects information over multiple years, tracking outcomes such as the incidence and number of serious drug interactions, polypharmacy, and use of various diagnostic imaging methods. Genetic polymorphisms are also assessed within two months. The study is expected to last until the end of 2028, with a target enrollment of at least 2,000 adults aged 18 and older.
