Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Age between 20 and 65 years
- Postpartum for at least 3 months
- Pain located in the sacroiliac joints (between the posterior iliac crest and gluteal fold)
- Pelvic pain caused by pregnancy, occurring during pregnancy or after delivery
- At least 2 positive results from 6 pain provocation tests for pelvic pain
- Active Straight Leg Raise (ASLR) test score greater than 0
You will not qualify if you...
- Currently pregnant or actively trying to get pregnant
- Known causes of pelvic girdle pain such as fractures or rheumatism
- Previous lumbar, pelvic, gynecologic, or obstetric surgery
- Current neurological symptoms or signs in lower limbs like lumbar radiculopathy or myelopathy
- Diagnosis of cancer
- Diagnosis of cardiovascular disease
- Diagnosis of psychiatric disease
- Active infection or infectious disease in the pelvis or abdomen
- Previous experience with structured and supervised core or trunk exercise training programs
