Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Be male at any age.
- Scheduled to undergo surgery, chemotherapy, drug treatment, or radiation that risks causing permanent and complete loss of testicular function.
- Have a medical condition or malignancy requiring removal of all or part of one or both testicles.
- Have newly diagnosed or recurrent disease, with no prior therapy causing complete and permanent loss of testicular function.
- Have two testicles if undergoing elective removal of testicular tissue for fertility preservation.
- Sign informed consent and authorization for personal health information release.
- Consent to serum screening tests for HIV-1, HIV-2, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C at the time of tissue harvesting.
- Undergo full history, physical exam, and obtain pre-operative clearance.
- Agree to participate in long-term follow-up as required by the protocol.
You will not qualify if you...
- Psychological, psychiatric, or other conditions that prevent giving fully informed consent.
- Underlying medical conditions that significantly increase risk of complications from anesthesia and surgery.
