Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Diagnosis of fifth metacarpal neck fracture
- Age between 18 and 70 years
You will not qualify if you...
- Palmar angulation greater than 50 degrees in first lateral x-ray
- Pathologic fracture
- Intraarticular fracture
- Unable to provide consent
- Polytraumatized patients
- Pregnancy
- Compound fractures
- Multiple hand injuries
- Injury occurred more than 7 days before presentation
