Who Can Participate
Eligibility Criteria
You may qualify if you...
- Unilateral ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke
- Stroke occurred within the past 3 months
- Upper limb muscle strength score of 3 or less on the Medical Research Council Scale
- No previous stroke, seizure, dementia, Parkinson's disease, or other degenerative neurological diseases
- Ability to sit for more than 15 minutes
- Age over 20 years
You will not qualify if you...
- Previous stroke, traumatic brain injury, or brain tumor
- Central nervous system diseases like spinal cord injury or Parkinson's disease
- Any contraindications to rTMS such as seizures, alcoholism, metal implants, or pacemakers
- Inability to cooperate with treatment
- Pregnancy
- Depression
