Eligibility Criteria

Eligible

You may qualify if you...

  • Suspicion or history of food allergy based on medical history, positive skin prick test, and/or serum food-specific IgE
  • Typical allergic symptoms within 60 minutes of eating a food (such as hives, swelling, abdominal pain, vomiting, or breathing problems)
  • Ability to stop all antihistamines for 1 week before oral food challenge
  • Age between 3 months and 65 years
Not Eligible

You will not qualify if you...

  • Previous desensitization treatment to a food allergen
  • Allergy to any component of the oral challenge vehicle
  • Unstable conditions including uncontrolled asthma or chronic urticaria
  • Any significant disease or chronic medical condition that may interfere with study evaluations
